 Assistant Role

Live-In Assistants who come to live in a L’Arche community, provide support and share in friendships with Core Members (persons with intellectual disabilities).  Assistants find their time at L’Arche to be filled with meaning, growth, friendship, challenge, and fun.  Assistants come to live in L’Arche often for one year.  For some, L’Arche is a career.

No two days are alike in L'Arche. You'll find that typical days in L'Arche are joyful and life-giving, as well as, busy and challenging. Life in L'Arche is a daily adventure, where togetherness is built in the stuff of everyday life.
